What’s The Scoop?

We have come a long way since our founding in 2014. The December/January issue of The Scoop newsmagazine has published Part I of a two-part article series about Seven Fields Farm & Orchard.  Part I outlines some of the early steps we took to establish the farm and ensure its sustainability. Part II (to be featured in the February/March edition) highlights our partnership and collaboration with Forests Ontario and some humourous milestones at the farm along the way. Since 2005, The Scoop has been a leading community news source in Lennox and Addington County profiling individuals, businesses, events, news and rural life. We are honoured to have our story in The Scoop. Check out the latest edition of The Scoop and keep your eyes open for Part II in February/March as well.

In The Thick of It

With the growing season ending, and work at the farm winding down for the winter months, we wanted to share a few photos of our walk around of more remote areas of our farm. This year has been a busy one and we just couldn’t find the time to explore our forests to scope out new opportunities like possibly tapping some sugar maples next year. Our property has a good 20-30 acres of wooded land at the northern edge of the farm and, given it’s a dense forest, we rarely get the opportunity to wade through the thick brush to do some good old fashion exploring. Here are a few photos from our recent walk around:
